Doek and Slay UK returns for the biggest Zimbabwean girls' day out
Doek and Slay UK is coming back, and this time, it’s bigger. Following its debut in 2025, the all-women celebration returns for its second UK edition on Saturday 5 September 2026, bringing together music, culture and community while creating space for Zimbabwean women to connect, unwind, dance, share experiences and simply enjoy being surrounded by their own.
Doek and Slay is about more than a day out. What started in Zimbabwe as a girls’ day out has grown into a movement: a space where women can relax, dance, reconnect and celebrate one another. It’s the kind of space where a stranger can become a friend by the end of the day, old friendships are reunited over music and conversation, and sisterhood isn’t just a buzzword but something you can actually feel.
This year’s UK edition brings together a line-up that reflects that spirit, with Nisha Ts, Saintfloew, Delroy Shewe, Selmor Mtukudzi, Decibel, Trevor Dongo, Tsungai Tsikirai, Denilson Musekiwa, Tocky Vibes and Lee Mckrazzy all set to take to the stage. Bringing together a mix of sounds and generations, the line-up will keep the day full of music and entertainment, while bringing women together to connect, celebrate and enjoy themselves.
But at its heart, Doek and Slay has always been about more than the music. It’s about the conversations that happen between sets, the introductions that turn into friendships, and the networking that can lead to new collaborations, opportunities and business connections. It’s about women sharing experiences, encouraging one another and creating a community where everyone has space to simply be.
There’s also the freedom that comes with being in a space built with women in mind. A chance to dress up, let your hair down and enjoy yourself without the noise of everyday life getting in the way.
